Looking for a new Admin

OK so i am sorry, i have neglected this place a bit but i have been quite busy and as you probably noticed MikeyB doesn't help me out here anymore so it has really just been me.

So i would like to get this place going again and to help me i would like to enlist the help of another administrator. The admin will be required to perform general administration duties as well as promote the site and write news.

The following things would be usefull in the new admin:

*Have had experience in either moderating or running a forum/website before.
*Have had experience with MYBB/MkPortal.
*Have good people skills and be an experienced forum user.
*Have a good interest in mountain bikes.
*Have good writing skills and be up to date with MTB news.

If you wish to apply just PM me.

I also plan to clean out the staff so if your interested in a staff position then stick around because applications will be opening soon

Thanks,
           Tim.

Industry News
Brian Lopes signs with Ibis.

Brian Lopes Signs with Ibis!

Brian Lopes in Moab

For those of you who are not familiar with American rider Brian Lopes he is probably the most versatile rider ever to ride a bike. He has done it all and all at a world level. Throughout his career he has won eight world cups, four world championships and is the current 4X World champion. In addition to 4X, downhill and cross country he is also an awesome free rider and despite turning 37 this year had his own section in free ride film New World Disorder 8. He is a truly amazing rider which makes you wonder why GT bicycles decided not to renew his sponsorship, obviously he had no problem finding a new sponsor and "After talks with several potential bike partners, his search lead him to Ibis Cycles" (brianlopes.com). Ibis cycles is better known for their carbon fiber cross country bikes but with Lopes on board "Brian and Ibis will be working together in the coming years to develop lots of new Ibis products and to attract a much wider audience to the Ibis brand." so look out for some great things from Ibis in the near future. Good luck to both Brian and Ibis for the 2008 season. For more info visit www.brianlopes.com.

Welcome to The Wheel World

Welcome Back to the new Wheel World

Apart from the new look wheel world now has few new features:

The Review Section:

The review section now enables members to submit their own reviews on bikes, components and apparel and anything else really.

The review section in the forum has been closed but I will leave it there for a while to give members a chance to transfer it to the new review section.

The Topsite (links) Section:

Feel free to add a link to your website, a useful website that you know of or your myspace in the top site section.

The New Image Gallery:

I have changed the image gallery to one that will work better with the site and is easier to use. If you wish to retrieve photos from the old gallery it can be accessed at http://thewheelworld.com/gallery/

The New News Section:

Wheel World now has a dedicated news section so that news can now be categorized and easily accessed. Regular members can now also submit news and it will be displayed once it has been approved. For our news contributors, your news will be automatically displayed.

Help

As always if you have any suggestions or you find a bug either contact me or post it in the site suggestions section. I have also setup a help section of the forum if you are having any problems using the new site.
